Lexus of Jacksonville is your local Lexus Lease Return dealership. We accept all Lexus and Toyota lease returns, even if the vehicle was leased at another dealership.

When your lease comes to an end, you have three roads you can take. Get started below or visit our Lease-End Videos page.

1: Turn in your vehicle and purchase or lease a new Lexus*

Get a newer model of what you're already driving, or try a completely different Lexus - it's up to you.

*Available on approved credit through your dealer and Lexus Financial Services. Not all applicants will qualify.

2: Return your vehicle to Lexus of Jacksonville

Not interested in another Lexus? Hey, we understand and we'll be here for you if you ever decide to come back. For now, simply bring your vehicle back to Lexus of Jacksonville by lease-end. You can also view our Return Checklist.

3: Purchase the vehicle you're currently driving

All that's left to do is get a payoff quote by logging into your LFS online account or contacting LFS at 1-800-286-0653. If you need financing, you can head straight to Lexus of Jacksonville for help.

Plan to turn in your vehicle earlier than your maturity date?
We understand you may decide to turn in your vehicle early, so here is what you need to know about your lease obligations if you do:
Military Members and Family

  • Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act (SCRA): Eligible service members may terminate their lease agreement prior to the scheduled maturity date without early lease termination charges. You must contact us at 800-874-7050  to determine eligibility.
  • Gold Star Military Program*: Eligible service members and spouses of service members who have suffered death, a catastrophic illness or injury may be eligible for early termination. You must contact us at 800-874-7050  to determine eligibility.

* Cancellation or forgiveness of lease obligations may be taxable as income.  Please contact your tax advisor for more information 

Deceased Customer

  • Transfer of Lease: If you have someone who is interested in taking over the lease contract and obligations to the lease agreement, please contact us at 800-874-7050  to learn more about transfer criteria and options. 
  • Probate Lease Cancellation*: In the unfortunate event of death of all parties on the lease contract, there may be eligibility for early termination and forgiveness of any remaining lease payments. You must contact us at 800-874-7050  to determine eligibility.

Returning 31 days or more prior to maturity date

  • TFS will calculate your early return balance.  Where applicable, TFS will use the lowest calculation of this balance based on your lease agreement.
  • You will get a Lease End Invoice 60-120 days after return as calculation of your balance may be determined after the vehicle is sold at auction

Wear & Use

WHAT IS CONSIDERED EXCESS WEAR AND USE?

It probably seems obvious, but damage that is beyond normal wear and use is considered excessive. If it helps to see some examples of what's considered excessive, check out our Wear and Use Guidelines.

If you think you may have excessive wear and use, then scheduling an inspection is a smart idea. Just give AutoVIN, an independent inspection company, a call.




WHAT IF I PURCHASED EXCESS WEAR & USE PROTECTION?
If you purchased Excess Wear & Use Protection, you should be in great shape to avoid most charges, and here's what you're covered for:
  • Each eligible event valued at $2,000 or less
  • Each eligible missing part or equipment valued at $250 or less
  • Up to $7,500 in excess wear and use charges

If you didn't purchase Excess Wear & Use Protection, we'll still be here to help. Our biggest recommendation would be to call and schedule a complimentary inspection appointment with AutoVIN. That way you can fix any damage and there won't be surprises at lease-end.

Return Your Vehicle
We're here to make Lease-End simple.
Before Your Return:

  • Examine possible excessive wear and use on your vehicle and make any necessary repairs.
  • Your originating Dealer is required to accept your return vehicle however we recommend contacting your local Lexus dealer to schedule a turn-in appointment for your vehicle.
  • Ensure all contracted payments and miscellaneous fees are paid to LFS.
  • Schedule your complimentary inspection appointment 15 to 60 days before your maturity date. To schedule an inspection call AutoVin at (855) 90-MY-LFS. 
  • Let LFS know if you completed repairs after your inspection, we'll order another once you return.
  • Call your local DMV to find out if your state requires license plates to be returned at lease-end

During Your Inspection and Return

Bring the following to your inspection and lease-return appointments:

  • Toolkit and spare tire, if applicable.
  • All set of keys (master/remote/valet), if applicable
  • Owner's Manuals
  • Any original equipment on your vehicle at lease inspection (radio, headrests, 3rd row seat, tonneau/cargo cover, etc.)
  • Ask the dealer to record the mileage, and don't forget to sign the Odometer Disclosure Statement and ask for a copy


At the Dealership

  • Confirm the Dealership will accept the return. Only your originating Dealer is required to accept your lease return.
  • Sign an odometer statement and ask for a copy for your records. Capture the name of Dealer associate that helped with the return.
  • If you did not complete an inspection prior to returning, one will be completed within a few days of your return.



After Return

  • LFS will send you a Lease End Invoice if you have any unpaid payments, late fees and miscellaneous charges.1

The invoice will also include Excessive Wear and Use charges, Excessive Mileage charges, and Disposition Fee if applicable. These items may be taxable

1 Under certain circumstances, Lexus Financial Services does not charge its lease customers for excess wear and use damage

  • If you had a Security deposit, it will be returned to your home address via check. It will be used to first pay any Lease End Invoice charges, if applicable.
  • If you make automatic payments through Lexus Financial Services, cancel any electronic payments here
